Organized by the Division of Residential School Management / Cluster, Ministry of Education, in collaboration with Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Mohamad Jiwa. And co-organized with the Regional Centre of Expertise on Education for Sustainable Development (RCE ESD) Penang, Center for Global Sustainability Studies (CGSS) USM, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), and Teachers-Parents Association of Sekolah Menengah Sains Sultan Mohamad Jiwa

Steps_To_Follow
  1. Register online (1 October 2018 to 31 January 2019)
    and submit an abstract (15 January 2018 to 28 February 2019) through http://miyio.sciencekedah.edu.my

     

  2. Registration guide and project payment information will be sent to your E-mail for your participation.
    (31 December 2018 - 31 January 2019).

     

  3. Each group will need to pay the fee starting from:       

    • 15 Jan to 28 Feb 2019 for international participation. 

    • 1 Feb to 30 March 2019 for local participation.
       

  4. After the complete payment has been done, each group will receive an invitation letter.
     

  5. By March 30, 2019, full Abstract and Project papers must be sent via the link provided in the invitation letter.                             

  6. Submit your travel information using Travel Information form. (The link provided in the invitation letter) before 15 March 2019. MIYIO will provide free shuttle services only from Penang International Airport (shuttle service schedule - notified in the invitation letter). If your air ticket is only to KL International Airport, you will need to book another air ticket to Penang International Airport or you can book a Train ticket from KL Central to Sungai Petani, Kedah Railway Station.                          

  7. Registration will take place at The Jerai Hotel, Sungai Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.
     

  8. Each group will receive a booth number.
     

  9. A briefing session will take place at The Jerai Hotel (if any changes the location will be informed later).
     

  10. Participants will set up the exhibition booth on Friday night.
     

  11. Judging session will be held on Saturday (13 April 2019), International students can wear their traditional costume during Judging Session.
     

  12. The closing ceremony will be held on Sunday (14 April 2019).
     

  13. Visit Kedah and Penang is opened only for international participants who choose to join the trip (additional charges apply).

Regulation
  1. The competition is opened to all fully residential schools under Ministry of Education Malaysia, daily schools, religious schools (government funded), MARA Junior Science College (MRSM) and international schools.

  2. Registration has to be done by a teacher, supervisor or by the board of the school.

  3. All schools in Malaysia may send one or more projects. However, each project will be charged RM500.00 inclusive of participation of one teacher and two students.

  4. International participations will be charged US$ 500 (early payment - before 15 January 2019 = US$450) for each project inclusive of participation of one teacher and two students.

  5. All paticipants will be given Participation Certificate. The winner will be given Gold, Silver or Bronze awards based on the scores.

  6. Each projects must abide the rules and regulation of INTELISEF (please refer to www.intelisef2011.com)
    or ISWEEP (please refer to www.isweep.org).

Each participation is required to submit two copies of abstract of not more than 250 words. The abstract must be written in English based on A4 paper
